Obituary for Mrs. Bonnie “Nanny” Keen Mrs. Bonnie “Nanny” Keen 76, of Escatawpa, MS passed away on September 9th, 2018 in Pascagoula, MS. Mrs. Keen was born in Dekalb, MS on January 26th, 1942. She dedicated her life to her family especially to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to them she was “Nanny”. She was a member of Canaan Assembly of God Church in Escatawpa, where she cooked the Sunday meals for the children. She loved spreading the gospel and Gods word in the mission field. She was preceded in death by her husband J.P. Keen, parents J.B. and Ida Pierce, son-in-law J.W. Walters, brother George Bryant, and her sister Myrtle Pierce. She is survived by her children Thomas (Jill) Keen of Eunice, LA; James (Trisha) Keen of Escatawpa, Teresa (John) Gandy of Pascagoula, Kathy Walters of Wiggins, sister Bessie Bryant of Laurel, and brother J.L. (Wanda) Pierce of Dekalb. She will also be missed by 10 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren,and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday September 11th from 6:30 pm to 7:00pm at Canaan Assembly of God Church with the funerals service beginning at 7:00 pm from the church sanctuary. Rev. Rodney Coleman will be officiating. It was Nanny’s request that all visitors who come for the visitation and funeral please dress casually.
