Obituary of Betty Wells Betty Emma (Keiss) Wells, 88, formerly of Audubon, PA, passed away September 22, 2018, at Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, PA. She was the wife of the late Norman Dexter Wells who passed away in 2001. Born July 25, 1930, in Elmira, NY, she was a daughter of the late Walter T., and Evelyn (Corter) Keiss. She was a graduate of Southport High School in Elmira, NY and was employed at Methacton School District as the baker in the Sr., High School cafeteria. Betty Emma loved to travel and camp. She traveled to see lighthouses and National Parks with family and friends. She was a member of a dance club and card club. She created beautiful knit sweaters for those she loved. She was an avid Hummel collector and was particularly fond of those that depicted the interests of her family. Betty Emma and Norm lived in several different parts of the country. Where ever they lived they were active in a local church: Fairview Methodist Church in Binghamton, NY, Haws Avenue Methodist Church in Norristown, PA, Southern Pines United Methodist Church in Southern Pines, NC. After Norm passed, she moved back to Pennsylvania and joined Wentz’s United Church of Christ. In all these churches she was a member of the choir and did much to support the youth. Surviving are three children, David Wells and his wife, Kathy, of Worcester, PA, Keith Wells and his wife, Paula, of Ormond Beach, FL, and Janet Conway and her husband, Joseph, of Royersford, PA. She is also survived by five grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Wentz’s U.C.C. Church, 3246 Skippack Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
