Obituary for Betty Lou Barnes Betty Lou (Douglas) Barnes, age 80, of Mayfield, KY died at 11:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Green Acres Health Care Facility in Mayfield, KY. Betty Lou was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter – Terry Lea (Barnes) Smith of Mayfield, KY; son – Russell Barnes of Kennewick, WA; two sisters – Nancy A. Dick of Texas and Mildred Rachel Cox of Wingo, KY; three grandchildren – Lea Whitney Clark, Katherine Brooke Lyerla and Chrystal Barnes; four great- grandchildren – Brayden James Bean, Easton James Clark, Grey Matthew Lyerla ad Oliver Perry Lyerla; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband – Harold B. Barnes; parents – Ira Lee & Gertie E. (Thomas) Douglas; three brothers – Lanie Douglas, Tex Douglas and Rickie Douglas; and a sister – Faye Mitchum. Graveside services for Betty Lou will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Highland Park Cemetery. Rev. Gary Heath will officiate.
