Obituary for Bertha Higgins Bertha Marion Higgins 89, went to be with the Lord on September 1st 2018. She died peacefully in her home with her cat Smokey surrounded by loved ones. Bertha was born November 8, 1928 in Bar Harbor the daughter of Fred H. and Nancy E. (Brown) Hodgdon. Bertha was a sweetheart with a heart of gold. She was always helping others and would do anything for anyone. She especially loved her animals and adored her grandkids and great grandkids. She very much enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds and deer at her home. She also loved yardsailing and sightseeing. Bertha is survived by her son Chuck Turnbull and daughter April Connors, Daughter in-law Evelyn, Grandchildren: Melissa, Tracey & Husband Rob, Mike and wife Laura, Angela, Vince and wife Bridget, Rebecca and husband Norm, Ryan, Rick and wife Heidi, and many great grandchildren, Lots of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Elmer Higgins, daughter Ruthann Davis, son Fred Davis, sister Dot, grandchildren Teddy & Michelle, and daughter in-law Debbie. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Sat., Sept. 8, 2018 at Trenton Baptist Church, 949 Bar Harbor Rd., Trenton with her Pastor Ron Libby officiating.
