OBITUARY Bernice C. Costa August 8, 1945 – September 26, 2018 Bernice (Jameson) Costa, 73, of New Bedford passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Costa, Jr. and the former wife of the late Adrien P. Morin. Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late William and Zofia “Sophie” (Koczera) Jameson, she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Bernice worked at the former Brooks Pharmacy turned Rite Aid Pharmacy as a cashier. She also worked at Shepard Clothing Company. She was active at her church and a member of the Ladies Guild. She loved hugs, going to the movies and baking. She is survived by her three children, Carl Morin of Fairhaven, Doreen Vieira of New Bedford and Paul Morin of Upton and seven grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Pamela Morin. Her funeral will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 8 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 4-7 pm. For online directions/tribute www.rock-funeralhome.com.
