Obituary for Bernard Burrell Bernard “Bo” Burrell was born July 25, 1970 in Chicago, IL to Katherine Burrell and Jessie Lee Brock. Bernard accepted Christ at an early age. His early years of education were obtained in Chicago, IL, where he attended Sherwood Elementary and met his one and only lifetime best friend of 35 years, Mano. He later graduated from Engle Wood High School. After high school , he began work as an auto mechanic. The Burrell family later relocated from Chicago, IL to Gary, IN. Soon after, in 1989, he met the love of his life, Arlean McGhee. Bernard’s nickname was “Bo”. He was a funny and out-going person. He loved to dance and was the life of the party. Bernard loved his family and his children dearly. He also loved helping others. Bernard’s health slowly began to fail. He exchanged life for eternity on September 4, 2018. Preceding Bernard in death are his parents, Katherine Burrell and Jessie Lee Brock. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Bernard Jr. and KeyWon McGhee; and daughter; Fantasia Burrell; siblings, Machell, Corrie, Kimberly, Richard, and Carl Burrell; aunts, Albertine, Annie Lee, and Linnell Burrell, Christine Hill, and Mattie Brock; grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy and Armoni; nieces, Elixix, Candace, Aliyah, Ezaray, Rossiciera, TaCorra; nephews, Kaprice, Charles Jr., Marquez, and Ryan.
