OBITUARY Benjamin Ortiz September 9, 1934 – September 3, 2018 Benjamin Ortiz, 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 4, 2018 in Brownsville, Tx. Mr. Benjamin Ortiz and his wife Dominga Ortiz founded Ben’s Bakery back in 1972. Mr. Ortiz was a well known, respected business man . He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and faithful clients. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dominga Ortiz; mother, Julia Martinez; brothers, Servando Madrigal and Ricardo Martinez; sister, Guadalupe Zurita and granddaughter, Melissa Alexis Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz is survived by his children, Alicia Rodriguez (Francisco +), Martha Pena (Juan), Benjamin Ortiz (Leticia), Andres Ortiz (Pilar), Julia Rucker, Julio Cesar Loyde (Lupita), Elva Gomez, Nora Gomez, Jose Luis Ortiz (Alma Leticia), Tito Benjamin Ortiz and Alfredo Ortiz (Patricia); siblings, Jose Luis Madrigal (Rebeca), Elvira Salinas (Macario) and Alfonso Martinez, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 11am to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel Service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10am at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial park. Serving as pallbearers will be Benjamin Ortiz Jr., Jose Luis Ortiz, Alfredo Ortiz, Julio Cesar Loyde, Tito Benjamin Ortiz and Jose Luis Madrigal.
