94, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2018 with family by her side. Barbara was born on January 23, 1924 in Salem, MA. She grew up in Beverly, MA and raised her children in Ipswich. Barbara was a compassionate and dedicated worker. For 23 years, she was a nurse at Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts. Barbara valued spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed bingo, arts and crafts, and puzzles. She was known for her sassy humor and selfless character. When she was 24 years old, Barbara married James Day. Together they raised two children until James’ passing in 1962. Years later, she remarried Robert Perrin and remained happily married until his passing in 2011. She was preceded in her death by her parents, George and Mildred Rice, and her siblings, Elenore Hayes, Marjorie Delisle, John Rice, and Robert Rice. Barbara is survived by her loving daughters, Kathryn Fowler of Tampa, FL and Joanne Clavin of Cranston, RI. Grammy Barbara will also be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren and her twelve great grandchildren. VISITING HOURS are Monday morning from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by her funeral service and burial in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter at 12:30 p.m.
