Barbara June Long, 77, of Grand Ledge, MI, passed away September 18, 2018 in Lansing, MI. She was born October 13, 1940 in Howell, MI, daughter of Kenneth and Katherine (Kane) Clark. Barbara was a Class of 1958 graduate of St. Mary Catholic School, Lansing, served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, and retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Civil Services. She was a member of the Lansing Area bowing League for 30 years, member of the Cole-Briggs American Legion Post 48, and enjoyed… Read More » her summers at Shoreline Lake. She is survived by her daughter Melanie (Vince Dell) Long, son Mark (April) Long, 3 grandchildren: Jennifer (Melvin) Wheeler, Grace and Abbott Long; 2 great grandchildren, Gage and Sophie Wheeler, and sister Shannon (Robert) Hasford. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Larry in 2005 and parents. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Military graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. Those wishing contributions can be made to their charity of choice.
