Alice Marie Jordan Maddocks 1931 2018

Obituary for Alice Jordan (Maddocks) Ellsworth — Alice Marie Jordan, 87, died September 11, 2018 at Westgate Manor in Bangor. She was born in Ellsworth, June 19, 1931 the daughter of Ralph L. and Bessie M. (Wentworth) Maddocks. Alice attended school in Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School. In her early years, she worked at the Colony Hotel in Hulls Cove. She later married Carroll N. Jordan and they raised 7 children. She was very sociable and enjoyed going out to eat and dancing. Alice was an animal lover, especially cats. She was a member of the Eagles Club. She is survived by her children, Stephen Jordan and wife Sheryl, Linda Jordan, Harvard Jordan and wife Lynelle, Ralph Jordan and husband Robert Bowden, John Jordan and partner Cristine Cobb, and Carroll Jordan Jr. and wife Amy all of Ellsworth; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Charlotte Wilson; and lifelong friend and cousin, Joanne Young. She was predeceased by her husband Carroll; son, Gary D. Jordan; brothers, Ernest and Stephen Maddocks and sister, Dorothy King. Special thanks to all her friends at Robert and Mary’s Place, Westgate Manor and Beacon Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Alice. A memorial service will be held 1:00pm, September 17, 2018 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating.
