Virginia Lee (Alcorn) Barton, age 78, of Evansville, IN was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Virginia was born February 4, 1940, in St. Louis, MO to the late Lyle and Cleo Alcorn. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Salem, MO. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and watching the St. Louis Cardinal games with her husband. She especially loved spending time with her family. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Patty Eckels (Chad); grandsons, Jonah, Joshua and Jacob Eckels; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Sheila Alcorn; and many nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Cleo Alcorn and husband of 59 years, David Barton, who passed away August 1, 2018. Memorial Service to be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Date and time pending. Internment will be in Boss Cemetery in Salem, MO at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Evansville Lutheran School at 111 E.
