Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Susan Ann Moody, age 60 of Belvidere. Ms. Moody passed from this life August 9, 2018 at her home with her loving and devoted family by her side. A native of Lincoln County, she practiced as an LPN in the OB/GYN Department welcoming many a baby into the world. She had a special place in her heart for children. She tirelessly supported Four H and prepared and donated fruit baskets to neighborhood churches and schools. She was a “Band Aid”, supporting and helping kids in the school band by transporting their instruments to ballgames and band competitions. She loved to crochet and knit. During her stays at Vanderbilt, she made scarves and hats for all the nursing staff on two different floors. The staff referred to her as being on “crochet duty”. She loved to read, but her real mission in life was being a servant to others. Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Jean Parks ; sister, Rose Moody; brother, James Moody; uncles, Herman and Rufus Taylor; great nephew, Levi Howard and nephew-in-law Troy Hasty. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters, Jeannie (Joe) Grant and Teresa Jackson, both of Belvidere; nieces, Bonnie Hasty and Andrea (Daniel) Howard; great-nieces, Taylor Hasty, Amber Hastings and Savannah Howard, all of Belvidere. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Sunday August 12, 2018 between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com.
