Obituary for Milburn Best Milburn Best, 74 of Hayden, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Best was born to Roden Ulus and Ethelene McKay Best of February 24, 1944. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, that would look out his back window at the green field and take down a buck. He loved to bass fish and mount the biggest ones and of course eat the rest. Milburn was a devoted husband for 46 years until his wife Brenda passed. He was a loving father to his two daughters and a proud grandfather. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan “Roll Tide”. Milburn is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings, Billy Ray Best and Margaret Vickers. He leaves to cherish his memory by his daughters, Renee (Daniel) Smith and Tanya Mead; granddaughter, Cassidi Mead; brother, Donald (Mary) Best; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Murphree officiating. Burial will follow in the High Rock Cemetery near Hayden. Mr. Best will lie in state on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lemley Funeral Home. Lemley Funeral Home directing.
