Obituary for Lowell Schultz Lowell Schultz, age 76, of Sibley, formerly of Little Rock, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley. Memorial Services will be at a later date. Lowell Thomas Schultz was born on September 22, 1941, the son of Edward (Pete) and Mary (Kruse) Schultz. He was born and raised on the family farm south of Rushmore, MN and attended a country school in the area. He went to Little Rock High School, later receiving his GED and an associate’s degree from Worthington College. He married Gail Malmquist of Rushmore, MN, they later divorced. Lowell managed the elevator in Storden, MN from 1968 to 1983. He later was an over-the-road truck driver for M.C.T. and Sathers Cookie Company for many years, retiring in 2006. Lowell was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden, MN and attended the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, IA. He was a member of the Masonic Scottish Rite and was a Shriner. He also served on many elevator boards. He enjoyed weekends at the family cabin on Lake Shetek, trapping, hunting ducks and pheasants, and trap shooting. He received many trophies from trap shooting tournaments. Lowell will be remembered as a very kind, compassionate and generous person. He was a friend to all. He passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Sibley Specialty Care. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Steve DeBates of Marshall, MN; his son, Bradley Schultz of Cook, MN; 2 grandchildren, Daniel (Leah) DeBates, Shelby (Brandon) Coens and two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kaden; one brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Bertha Schultz and their family of Rushmore, MN; former brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Glen and Diane Malmquist of Luverne, MN and Neil and Candace Malmquist of North Mankato, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
