Huntsville – A home going celebration for Mr. Kenneth E. Cox, 81, will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 12 noon at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Jackson will be officiating. Burial will be held in Anniston Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Cox entered his heavenly home on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Mr. Cox is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elvira Cox of Huntsville; one son, Scott Cox (fiancé, Victoria Nordstrom) of Huntsville; two daughters, Cathy Robertson (Michael) of Milton, FL and Chris Blomeley (Doug) of Duluth, GA; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette McGiboney of Birmingham; numerous nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law, Betty Cox of Jemison, Mary Cox of Tuscaloosa and Elaine Cox of Birmingham. Mr. Cox was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a faithful member of Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville and loved the Lord with all his heart. Mr. Cox was a military police officer in the US Army and designed substations as an electrical engineer for Alabama Power and Huntsville Utilities. Mr. Cox was an exceptional man. He leaves behind a lifetime stories and a legacy of love that will be passed down for generations to come.
