Joseph Napolitano Jr., 88, of Toms River, NJ, passed away at home, Friday, August 3, 2018. Born in Newark to the late Joseph and Josephine (nee Cannelli) Napolitano, he lived in Belleville for 68 years and Toms River the past 20 years. Mr. Napolitano was employed by Es County Department of Corrections in Newark for 27 years, retiring as a Captain in 1992. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He had a love of golf, gardening, and the New York Yankees. Mr. Napolitano is survived by his wife of 69 years, Grace (DelTufo), daughters Joan Cantagallo and her husband Jack, Cheryl D’Uva and her husband Bruno, Rosanne Long and her husband Jerry, son Joseph Napolitano and his wife Joan,12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral 10 am Wednesday from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Avenue, Belleville. Mass 10:30 am in Holy Family Church, Nutley. Interment to follow in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 pm and Wednesday 9-10 am. Kindly omit flowers.
