OBITUARY Jane T Post November 9, 1934 – August 19, 2018 Jane Taylor Post, age 83, resident of Hueytown, passed away on Sunday, August 19th. Born in Dallas, Texas on November 9, 1934. Jane grew up with her two sisters, Anne, and Frances. Jane attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was married to Troy Victor Post, Jr. for 33 years until his death. While raising their four children in Birmingham, Jane was actively involved in the school PTA, den mother for The Boy Scouts of American Troop 111, she served on the Birmingham Beautification Board, was an officer and member of the Forest Park Garden Club and an active member of the Highlands United Methodist Women’s Circle. Jane completed her B.A. degree at Birmingham Southern College in 1997. After moving to Hueytown in 2001, Jane became an active member of the Hueytown United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons Troy Victor Post, III, and Steven Taylor Post, her daughters Catherine Post Tommasello and Maurine Post Blackwell and her 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a Celebration of Jane’s life to follow at 11:00 a.m..
