Obituary for Helen E. Wallace Helen E. (Haidet) Wallace, age 99, of Alliance passed away at 3:22 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Canterbury Villa. She was born November 27, 1917 in Alliance, Ohio to Lawrence Haidet and Dorothy L. (Moushey) Haidet. A 1936 graduate of Alliance High School, Mrs. Wallace formerly worked as a Telephone Operator for Ohio Bell Telephone and Taylorcraft. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar and Rosary Society and as a Sacristan. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother “GG”, she will be missed by her children, Robert C. (Karen J.) Wallace; of Newark, Ohio, daughter Susan K. (Nick) Sotcan of Alliance; sons William L. (Debbie) Wallace of Des Moines, IA and James J. Wallace of Alliance; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles M. “Chuck” Wallace, whom she married December 5, 1942, and who died August 18, 2006, four brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church at Noon on Saturday, December 10, 2016 with Fr. Joseph Ruggieri officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 663 Fernwood Ave., Alliance, OH 44601. Arrangements are by Walton-Schrader Funeral Home.
