Funeral services for Eva Evangeline Burgland, 92, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tim Ricker of the Frontier Baptist Church officiating. Inurnment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery. Eva Burgland died Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming. Eva was born Monday, June 21, 1926 in Haldean, Sioux County, Nebraska the daughter of Earl William and Lucetta Maurine (Kinner) Lenzen. Eva at a young age came to Wyoming with her family to the family homestead north of Douglas. She was raised and educated in Converse County. She was married to Alvin Harold “Sonny” Burgland on July 16, 1949 in Douglas. They moved to Greybull, Wyoming in 1969 and returned to Douglas in 1989. While living in Greybull, Eva worked as a nurse’s aide at the Big Horn County Hospital for 20 years. She enjoyed trapping squirrels and babysitting. Eva is survived by her children, Barbara Tillard of Douglas and A. Curry Burgland of Sheridan, Wyoming; sister, Lucretia Richards of Glenrock, Wyoming; grandchildren, Tara (Corey) Davidson of Douglas, Ty (Megan) Tillard of Douglas, Cassie (Joe) Schwartz of Sheridan, and Tina VanBuskirk of White Rock, South Carolina; and great grandchildren, Dylan Davidson, Taylor Davidson, Colby Davidson, Kylie Tafoya, Maddy Tillard, Gracie Tillard, Andy Tillard, Braden Harris, Jake VanBuskirk, and Trinity Burgland. Eva was preceded in death by her father, William, on April 12, 1965; mother, Lucetta, on July 15, 1984; husband, Sonny, on May 19, 2005; siblings, Earl William Lenzen Jr., Sophia Marie Anderson, John Kinner Lenzen, Marion Andrew Lenzen, Doris Ann Lenzen, and Leslie James Lenzen; and son-in-law, Andy Tillard. Serving as the urnbearer will be Curry Burgland. A memorial to the Converse County Cancer Fund in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O.
