Danny M. “Mickey” Cavallaro, 67, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home. A funeral will be held at 11am Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Rob Goodman officiating. A private burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 at Vance Memorial. Mickey was born January 11, 1951 in Columbus, GA to the late Frank and Albertha Cavallaro. One of four children, the family grew unexpectedly when Mickey was 3 with the addition of cousins, Juanita and Julia, that really were just two more sisters for Mickey. After graduating from Baker HS, he started CREI Technology Institute before joining the US Navy. His love of electronics served him well over his 8-year Navy career as he worked on the electronics used in jets and earned the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. He was a member and deacon at Summerville Baptist Church and loved caring for his church family. He will be missed by his family that he loved and adored. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Cavallaro. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Trelle Williams Cavallaro; daughter, Kristyn Pace husband Steve; grandchildren, Jonathan Hart and Allison Hart: 2 sisters, Diane Jones husband John and Mary Jo Chewning husband Jesse; several extended family members and friends.
