William Timothy “Tim” Miller, 76, of Herrin, passed away 2:35 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin. Tim was a retired factory worker from Maytag Industries in Herrin. Tim was a member of the Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin; the IHSA Hall of Fame and the Herrin Tiger Hall of Fame and served in many volunteer roles with the Athletic Department at the Herrin High School. Miller of Energy; sister, Patsy Bosscawen of Mesquite, TX; sister-in-law, Bobbi Miller of Coon Rapids, MN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Paul Miller and a brother-in-law, Eddie Bosscawen. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the funeral home in Herrin. Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin. The family prefers memorial donations made to the Herrin High School Athletic Scholarship Fund, 700 North 10th Street, Herrin, IL 62948; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
