OBITUARY William F. McHale May 8, 1936 – July 19, 2018 William F. McHale, age 82, passed away July 19, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida at Acosta J. Rua Center for Caring, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. William was born on May 8, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to Esther A. Acosta and William (Bill) McHale, Sr. He was a merchant seaman and was also a painter contractor for many years. William is preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Ruth E. McHale; his parents Esther A. Acosta and William (Bill) McHale, Sr.; and his brothers James E. McHale, Ellis S. McHale, and Jerry A. Acosta, all of Jacksonville, Florida. He is survived by his children Lynn Jeter, Sharon Eubanks, Shirley Smith, William (Bubba) McHale, Ronald McHale, Donald McHale, Renea Windham, David McHale, and Penny Moore; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister Deborah Joyner; step-mother Mildred McHale; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also had a special bond with his granddaughter Melynda Anne Kutchey of Grand Ridge, Florida. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
