Obituary for William E. (Bill) Kunde William E. (Bill) Kunde of Yuba City, 93, passed away June 12, 2018 in his home surrounded by loving family. Born May 9, 1925 in Yuba City, he had been a Yuba-Sutter resident his entire life. Bill graduated from Yuba City High School in 1943, served in the Navy as a Radarman Second Class in the Pacific Theater during WWII and the Korean War and was Honorably discharged. Following his military service, Bill worked as a dispatcher and eventually president of Associated Transportation Company, a trucking company formerly located on the corner of Wilbur Avenue and B Street. Bill was the grandson of Albert Eduard Gustaf Kunde who settled in Yuba City in 1918 and who is honored at the Aquatic Center parking lot on the corner of Wilbur and C Street. Bill was a loving father and family man who enjoyed golf, fishing and time with friends. He will be remembered for his friendly, good-natured disposition and life long hard work ethic. He is survived by a brother, Jerry Kunde of Yuba City; son, Bill Kunde of Yuba City; daughter, Karen Lambros of Pleasanton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; Mary Eliason and family. Graveside services will be held on June 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sutter Cemetery. Donations may be made in Bill’s honor to Hospice. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of William E.
