Obituary for Wayne Harris Wayne Christopher Harris, age 73, passed away on June 24, 2018. Wayne was born to Emory and Alice Harris on January 26, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. Colorado Springs became his home while serving for the United States Army. Wayne was a highly respected businessman and entrepreneur in the community. He was a wonderful counselor to many and will be dearly missed. We will never forget his huge heart, sense of humor, and strong hugs. He had a passion for work and loved spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered for touching all of us in one way or another. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Harris; his children: Nina Hanson, Kevin Harris, and Ward (Tori) Harris; his sister, Alice Zarr and her family; his grandchildren who adored him: Jonathan Castro-Mendez, Mackenzie Harris, and Bryson, Brayden and Brooklynn Harris. He was preceded by death by his sister, Elisabeth. A Remembrance Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, at Shine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception for family and friends will follow.
