Maysville – Wanda “Mae” Dunaway Mastin, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday July 28, 2018. Mrs. Mastin, a longtime resident of Lewisburg, was born in Mason County, October 10, 1931 to the late Jacob and Beatrice Mastin Dunaway. Wanda, along with her late husband Gene, owned and operated East End Variety Store and she was also a former employee of Lucky Stride Shoes where she worked as a stitcher for 19 years. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Kay Burke of Lewisburg; her grandson, Michael David(Missy) Burke of Union, KY; great-grandchildren, Delaney, Katie and Griffin Burke; sisters, Pat Day and Brenda (Richard) Moran both of Maysville, and Sharon Swartz of Lexington; and a brother-in-law, Donald Bussell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ralph Eugene Mastin; brothers, Fr. Harold Dunaway, and infant Billy Ray Dunaway; sisters, Carol Bussell and Lois and her husband Meredith Grimme; son-in-law, David Hiatt Burke; and sisters-in-law Alta Hinton, Delores Grayson and Barbara Dunaway. Wanda will be deeply missed by a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones. Services for Wanda Mae Mastin will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 1, 2018 at Brell & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
