Obituary of Virginia Eden Virginia C. Eden, 71, of Lone Tree, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. There will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Virginia Eden memorial fund. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Virginia and her family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The family wishes to thank the staff at Iowa City Rehabilitation Center and Mercy Hospital. Virginia Charlotte Johnson was born on February 3, 1947, in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Alfred and Clara (Finke) Johnson. She was a 1963 graduate of City High. On August 25, 1972, Virginia was united in marriage to Harold Eden. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her animals, knitting and puzzles, but most of all she dearly loved to spend time with her family. Virginia will be deeply missed by her children, Mark Eden and special friend, Michelle, Brian Eden and Deborah Eden all of Iowa City and siblings, Zeta, Julia, Shirley and Fred. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Ruby, Lloyd, Tom, Pauline and one brother in infancy.
