Obituary for Velma Willingham Velma Carolyn Wilson Willingham, 96, of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, June 29, 2018. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. in Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4898 Mount Pleasant Church Road. Macon. Burial will be private. Born in Macon, She was the daughter of the late Martin Luther Wilson and Mary Massengale Wilson. She was the widow of her husband of 59 years, Lee Roy “Bo” Willingham. She was preceded in death by four of her sons, Barry, Alan, Steve and Richard. Can you imagine the reunion she is having. Velma gave birth to 5 boys in 5 years. She raised them to be independent, kind hearted caring young men. All of her boys served their country during the Vietnam Conflict with 4 in Vietnam and 1 in the Meditterean. She was proud of them and their service to their country. She is survived by her son, Randy and daughter, Carol, Six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and Sister, Yvonne Jordan. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to your favorite charity. Friends may sign the online register at www.fairhavenmacon.com.
