Obituary for Thomas Vance Chapman Thomas V. Chapman born August 9, 1940, passed away February 21, 2018 preceded by his father, Wendell Chapman and mother, Margaret Richardson. Survived by his wife Linda Chapman, two brothers Wendell and Bob Chapman, five children Mike, Mark, Matthew and Ben Chapman, and a daughter Michelle Robins, three step-children Renee Landers, Stephanie Shangraw, and Richard Stevens. He has six grandchildren. He graduated from high school in Maryland and has two years of college. Tom served in the Navy Seabees from 1958 to 1964 as E-3 Construction Apprentice in Puerto Rico, the Cuban conflict, and Antarctica (South Pole) building the New Bird Research Center facility. He had a passion for old cars and racing. He worked for General Motors, Alfa Romeo (out of Italy), and Robson Ranch, Denton, Tx. Memorial service to be held Friday March 9, 2018 at 1pm, First United Methodist Church Denton Texas. Contributions may be made to the Children’s Ministry at the church. Services under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 120 S. Carroll Blvd., Denton, Texas, 76201. Phone 940-382-2214.
