Teresa K. “Shortie” Drew, 57, of Bluford, Illinois passed away peacefully at 3:31 P.M. July 3, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 14, 1961 in Kane County, Illinois to Buddy and Dellas (Stratton) Oxford. Teresa married Robbie Drew on December 29, 1984. They were blessed with 33 wonderful years together. In addition to her husband, Teresa is survived by her father, Buddy Oxford of Opdyke; daughters, Clarissa Drew of Bluford and Haley (Drew) Shelton and husband, Andrew of Bluford; adopted daughter, Maranda Ellis of Bluford; grandchildren, Levi Drew, McKenzie Shelton, and Nevaeh Shelton; siblings, Michael Conner of Dix, Rhonda Roberts and husband, Glen of Opdyke, Kim Barnard and husband, Allen of Bluford, and Desiree Oxford of Mount Vernon. Teresa was preceded in death by her mother, Dellas Oxford and brother, Buddy Wade Oxford. Teresa was a member of Keenes Missionary Baptist Church for several years. She was the owner of the Paintball Pit Store, a homemaker for her family, and helped her husband on the farm. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Teresa was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A Visitation will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Keenes Missionary Baptist Church in Keenes, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Keenes Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Marty Lamp officiating. Interment will follow at Salem-Mateer Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Teresa’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
