Taylor John Ketlinski July 27 1990 June 26 2018 (age 27)

Taylor John Ketlinski was born July 27, 1990 in Boise, Idaho. The oldest son of Cara Vines and Todd Ketlinski. Taylor grew up in the Treasure Valley and made a lot of friends along the way. In his youth, he played Baseball, LaCrosse, & Football. He loved to go to the lake in Boise & McCall where he mastered the stand-up jet ski, he also learned to ski at a very young age and later switched to snowboarding, Taylor loved the outdoors. Often on weekends Taylor would head with his Dad to his Uncle’s hot rod shop, even before he could walk, his Dad put him in a baby walker and he watched his Opa, Dad and Uncle prepare for an upcoming jet boat race or watch his Dad work on old cars. Often his Dad would take him to local car shows where he would use his old VW bus as a personal hangout for the day. This led to his lifelong love of cars and boats. Also as a child, when Taylor wasn’t searching and looking for bugs, he loved shopping with his mom. He was especially excited when he was able to get a pair of cowboy boats that he named his “Fire Boots”. Even through High School, Taylor loved playing with this brothers and sister and always tried to make them laugh. One time Taylor had convinced his younger brother Jeremy to pull his shirt up and put it around his face and run around calling themselves “nerds”. Taylor’s compassionate and sensitive heart towards those in need was the compass that drove him to rescue anyone he could including animals. There were many times that he came home with a stray animal wanting to be the one who saved it. He shared this same love with his mom and together they helped saved many. Two cats, Boss and Marley, became a permanent part of their family and most recently a third kitten that Taylor named Lucky Foot has now lovingly been renamed “Tay Tay”. From the start, Taylor was creative, highly intelligent, hopeful, driven and had a very contagious laugh. He loved his family very deeply especially his siblings. Whenever he needed time to himself, he grabbed a pen and paper and let his thoughts create beautiful pictures with deep meaning. Even during some of the hardest times in his life while fighting his personal demons, and the hardness of our society, he never gave up hope and most recently dreamed of starting a business of his own. Taylor is survived by his mother, Cara Vines and Jeremy Millman; Father, Todd Ketlinski and Christi Ketlinski; siblings, Katie Ketlinski, Jeremy Hutchings, Scott Ketlinski and numerous extended family. Taylor was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Mary Craft and Grandfather Dean Holmes. In lieu of flowers we want to honor Taylor’s love of animals and donate Happy Jack Cats at www.happyjackcats.org 208-477-1452
