Stacy John Murphy, Sr., 59, of Sanford, NC passed away Tuesday July 17, 2018 at Central Carolina Hospital. He was born December 11, 1958 in Japan to the late Charles Dudley Murphy Sr. and Mary Black Murphy. Stacy was a proud patriot and served his country honorably as a solder in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, Stacy went on to pursue a career in nursing. He was very proud of his military and nursing careers and genuinely enjoyed helping others.
