OBITUARY Spencer W. Gross July 26, 1952 – July 11, 2018 Spencer W. Gross, 65, passed away on July 11, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital. Spencer was born in Greensboro on July 26, 1952, the son of Earl Higgins and Mary Inman Gross. He graduated from Western Guilford High School and was employed with Eco Labs. Spencer was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gross. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Jones Gross of the home; father, Earl H. Gross of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Tim Gross and wife Susan of Chapel Hill, NC, Dewey Gross and wife Janet of Helena, AL; step son, Brandt Olson; step daughter, Amanda Olson and step grandchildren, Autumn and Hunter Olson. A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service at the funeral home. Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is assisting the Gross family.
