Obituary of Shirley Callaway Shirley Naff Callaway of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday July 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter B. and Kathleen Duffy Naff, a brother, Fred Naff, son-in-law, Bob Ruff, and a nephew, Michael Naff. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Eugene Callaway; daughter, Susan Ruff; her son Bryan Callaway and wife Amy; daughter, Anne Moore and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Emily Martin and husband Eric, Katie Ruff, Danielle Moore, and Spencer and Juliann Callaway; great grandchildren, Eli and Ellery Martin; sister, Frances Thomas; a brother, Richard Naff and wife Iris; sister-in-law, Phyllis Naff; Aunt Thelma Naff, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the compassionate care and support provided by Good Samaritan Hospice, and the many friends who called and came by to offer their support and love in her final days. A very special thanks is extended to Sarah Quinlin and Kathy Moses for the exceptional and loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s UMC or Good Samaritan Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday July 29, 2018 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Justin White officiating. Inurnment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service Sunday in the church’s Family Life Center. Condolences may be left for the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
