OBITUARY Shirley Katherine Edwards July 16, 1937 – July 11, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Shirley Katherine Edwards, 80, of Greensboro went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday evening, July 11, 2018 at her home. Her homegoing service will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018. The family will receive friends on Sunday at 2:00 pm with the service at 3:00 pm and a reception to follow. Visitation, service and reception will all take place at the Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel located at 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Edwards, Sr., grandson, Troy Jason Edwards, her mother, Ora K. Ashby and her sister, Betty Trull. She is survived by her three children, oldest son Robert (Dlorah) of Richmond Hill, GA, daughter Kathy Karlson, and son David, both of Greensboro, and long-time friend David Livingston of Greensboro. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren all whom she loved and adored.
