Shelby J. Gentry, 81, of Fayetteville was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior with her beloved son and caretaker, Jim holding her hand on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, AY and Elsie Mae Smithers; sisters, Wanda Duke and Ethel Stacy Adams; a daughter, Tammy Marie Stocking Vinson; her beloved husband, Donald W. Gentry whom she loved since she was 12 years old; and best friend and Aggravation game partner, Ginger Builaert. Survived by her son, James Gentry (Sheri); a daughter, Patti G. Colyer (Larry); a sister, Vivian Porter Hutto (A.J.); a brother, Jerry W. Smithers (Rachel); and four grandchildren, Alicia Stocking Rhoden (Phil), Jared Stocking, Meghan Colver and Macaila Colyer. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Monday, July 30, 2018 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm prior the service at the funeral home.
