Obituary for Sandra Cimino Cruz-Daw SANDRA CIMINO CRUZ-DAW February 19, 1942 – June 22, 2018 Sandra Cimino Cruz-Daw, 76, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on June 22, 2018. A lifelong resident of Vallejo, she graduated from Vallejo Sr. High in 1959 and retired from Kaiser Permanente Vallejo as an Optical Sales Technician. She loved her family and was known for her infectious laugh AKA “Auntie Ha Ha”. As the matriarch of the family and true to her Italian heritage with a passion for cooking she hosted many Holiday gatherings and will be dearly missed by all. Sandra is survived by her husband: Alfred E. Cruz Jr.; children: Kelly Finkel [Jeffery Bailey], Alfred Cruz III [Toya Thomas-Cruz]; grandchildren: Zachary Finkel and Terra Cruz; sisters: Jean Miller [Dewayne Miller], Vicky Scopesi; sisters in law: Kristine Vanecek, Carmen Stuart, Carlita Hammond, many nieces and nephews and her kitties Sweet Pea and Tulip. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents: Raymond Cimino, Janet Cimino-Vanecek and Gilbert Vanecek; husband: Robert H. Daw; sister: Marion DeStefano [Ronald DeStefano]; and brother Jerry Vanecek. At her request there will be no funeral service or memorial service. Instead, she hoped that those who knew her would have small intimate dinners with good friends and family; serve crusty French bread, a triple cream brie cheese, salami and expensive French champagne-toasting her life and friendship.
