Obituary for Samuel D. Santschi Samuel D. Santschi, 63, of Holmesville, and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, at 9:23 p.m. at University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born on February 10, 1953 to Charles I. McMahan and Bonita Heckathorn in Massillon, and had lived in Alliance most of his life. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served our country in the U. S. Navy. Sam was employed with Napa Auto Parts in Streetsboro and Ravenna for over 25 years. In his past-time, he enjoyed music and loved working on cars. He is survived by his wife, Denise Santschi, whom he married on August 14, 1971; a grandson, Matthew Blymiller of Newton Falls; an uncle and aunt, Frank and Susan McMahan of Alliance; five half-brothers and their families; three sisters-in-law and their spouses; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nephews. Preceding him in death was his son, Jimi Santschi; his biological parents; his parents that raised him, Alfred and Mabel Santschi; numerous aunts and uncles; and a brother by choice, Steven M. Grim.
