Obituary for Rosalyn A. Dove Rosalyn A. “Rosie” Dove passed away June 26 at Lake Country Health Services in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. She was 87 years old. Rosie was born at home in Dallas Center, Iowa to F. Alvin and Arminda “Bunny” Bates. She was salutatorian of her high school class as well as a trombone player in the band. She was married to Robert E. Sheets in 1949 and had three children. In 1963, she was remarried to Charles E. Dove, Jr., moved to Des Moines, and had one child. Both men preceded her in death. She lived in Iowa for 68 years before moving to Columbia, Missouri, and then to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in 2016. Besides being a mother, Rosie worked in Food Service at Hoover High School for ten years. At various points in her lifetime, she was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, PWP, and the United Methodist Church. Rosie will be dearly missed by her four children, Linda (Rick) McClure of Hartland, Wisconsin, Larry (Deanne) Sheets of Overland Park, Kansas, Nancy Sheets of West Des Moines, and Constance (Christopher) Castilleja of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Rosie’s cremains will be interred at the Brethren Cemetery in Dallas Center, Iowa with her parents. A family graveside service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Rosalyn A.
