Obituary for Ronald Hornak Ronald J. Hornak, 73, of Kendall Park, N.J., died Monday July 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Oceanside, Calif.; he was raised in Donora. Ron was valedictorian at Mon Valley Catholic High School , class of 1963 and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he also received his MBA. Ron was an assistant vice president of cash management at Marine Midland Bank in New York City and later was the assistant treasurer at PSE&G in Newark N.J., where he worked for more than 30 years. Ron had many friends and was loyal to all of them. He was the president of the New Jersey Chapter of the Pitt Alumni Club. His passion for Pitt was so great that some say it was Ron who coined the phrase “Hail to Pitt!” He was the son of the late Joseph J. and Lillian Zajack Hornak, husband of the late Marguerite Rudek Hornak and brother of the late Bernard Hornak. Ron is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joseph A. Hornak, and Richard and Carol Hornak, a niece Natalie, and two nephews, Timothy and Brian, Friends were received in the M.J.
