Obituary for Richard “Ric” Charles Lumbard After a year-long battle of trying to recover from a heart attack, Richard “Ric” Charles Lumbard, 50, of Marion, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, and is now whole again and with Jesus. A private family memorial service was held. Ric was born on April 30, 1968, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Leigh “Del” and Joan (Davis) Lumbard. He graduated from East High School in Des Moines and later obtained a college degree. On August 2, 1986, Ric was united in marriage to Christine Rene Hanson in Des Moines, Iowa. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, and all who knew him. He is survived by and lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Christie Lumbard; children, Tanayia (Jesse) Bode, Tara (Christian) Bray, Tristen (David) McGarvey, and Tyler (Lauren) Lumbard; parents, Del and Joan Lumbard; and brothers, Mike (Pam) Lumbard and family and Marvin (Diana) Lumbard and family.
