Obituary for Rebecca Janie Fields Rebecca Jane “Janie” Fields, 61 of Taylor, Arkansas and formerly of Arkadelphia passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Springhill Medical Center in Springhill, Louisiana. She was born on November 13, 1956 in Springhill, Louisiana to the late Virgil and Elizabeth Jane (Whipple) Fields. Janie was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arkadelphia while she was a resident at Lucas Gardens Group Living, Inc. Janie is preceded in death by her parents and her dear caregiver and companion for over 14 years Martha Hopper. She is survived by her sister, Susan and John Gosdin of Magnolia; four brothers, Terry and Jackie Fields of Taylor, Arkansas, Reginald and Linda Fields of Texas, Kent and Brenda Fields of Pasadena, Texas, and Stanley Fields of Magnolia; and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 26th at Lewis Funeral Home, in Magnolia. A rosary will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with funeral services to begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery.
