Obituary of Raymond Voorman Raymond Voorman, age 78 of Wyckoff, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident of Wyckoff. Ray graduated from Eastern Christian Academy and RCA Institute. Ray joined the US Army and was stationed at West Point working as a Military Police Officer and in communications. Ray was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorius service by the Secretary of the Army. Ray managed Conklins Inc. in Wyckoff for years before working for Bach Sales in Westbury, NY. He then started his own business, RVI Wire Inc. in Wyckoff. Ray was a long time member of Wyckoff Reformed Church. Ray’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Susan, his loving children: Honore’ Kotler and her husband Kirby of Malibu, CA, Erika Cassetta and her husband Mitchell of Galloway, NJ, Raymond Adrian Voorman, Jr. (RJ) and his girlfriend Kim of Hoboken, NJ, 2 granddaughters: Ava Jeanne and Kirra Ray, his sister Jane Baker and her husband Stuart of Holland, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Duane Voorman and his parents Raymond A and Clara Voorman. Visiting hours are Friday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
