Raymond J. Holesinger, 81, of Cherry Valley, IL went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2018. Born in Morrison, Illinois, on October 26, 1936. Ray was the son of the late Otto and Jennie Holesinger. Ray was married to the love of his life, Sharlene, for 60 years. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a hardworking man and retired from Hamilton Sundstrand after 30+ years. Ray enjoyed fishing, camping, shuffleboard, and challenging jig-saw puzzles. Survivors include his children, Suzanne (George) Krysztopa, Kristin (Kevin) Spieles and Stephen Holesinger; two grandchildren, Alan and Raelynn. Predeceased by his wife, Sharlene; parents, Otto and Jennie; step-mother, Henrietta and his brothers and sisters. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. A visitation will held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
