Obituary for Prophetess Catherine Pearl Lee Prophetess Catherine Pearl Lee On Sunday April 2, 2017 God gently called His maid servant to rest from her labour. Prophetess Catherine Pearl Lee, was the daughter of the late Rosa Davenport Spencer and Herman Lee Spencer Jr. She was born in (month, date, year) in Plymouth, North Carolina. She attended public school in North Carolina. She later married the late Nathaniel Lee and to this union were added two children, Christopher Michael Lee (deceased) and Tamara Lee. Prophetess Lee was saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit at the Garden of Prayer Holiness Church under the pastorate of the late Georgia Coppedge in Newport News, Virginia in 1975. She served faithfully for twenty-five years under this ministry. She then moved on to serve under the late Dr. Robert E. Sargent Sr. and present Pastor Joann Sargent at the Humble Beginnings Interdenominational Ministry and The Church of Jesus for the past fifteen years. Serving the Lord, singing the songs of Zion and ministering the Word of God was a vital part of her life. Sister Lee always had a desire and a strong will to further her education. The Lord blessed her to complete her certification as a Practical Nurse from New Horizons Regional Education Center. This was a proud moment in her life. Sister Lee loved music! God always gave her words that she could arrange to music. She enjoyed performing in concerts and sang with several Gospel choirs and groups throughout the Peninsula. She wrote and produced several songs for the Victory Gospel Singers of Hampton Virginia. The Lord also blessed her to produce a CD entitled “Trust”. She was preceded in death by her parents: Rosa Davenport Spencer and Herman Lee Spencer Jr. Siblings: William Davenport, Herman Spencer, Martha Boss, Jerry Spencer Husband: Nathaniel Lee Son: Christopher Michael Lee. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter Tamara Lee Siblings: Rosetta Knight, Phyllis Rose, Robert Lee, Mary Booth Grandchildren: Jasidri Lee and Auvares Lee. She leaves also to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. All flowers can be delivered to the church on Saturday by 12 Noon.
