Obituary for Philip Tabor Philip H. Tabor, 81, a lifelong Dover Plains resident and longtime dairy farmer, died on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Tabor owned and operated the Tabor Farm in Dover Plains, NY for many years. Born on January 30, 1937 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late Wright and Jenny (Carroll) Tabor. He was a graduate of Dover High School and receiv ed an Associate’s of Science degree in Animal Husbandry from the State University of New York at Cobleskill in 1957. On June 7, 1958 in Rochester, NY, he married Margaret Ihle who died on July 16, 2011. Mr. Tabor was a former member of the Dover Board of Education of the Dover Union Free School District and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Dover Plains, NY. He is survived by four children; two sons, Philip W. Tabor, and his wife, Bonnie, of Blackstone, VA and Bradley E. Tabor, and his wife, Ann, of Katonah, NY and two daughters, Linda Rogers, and her husband, Wayne, of Richfield Springs, NY and Karen Penney and her husband, David, of Dover Plains, NY, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Priscilla Shufelt. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 101 East Duncan Hill Rd., Dover Plains, NY.
