She was born in Columbus, NC to the late Clarence Floyd and Bulah West Floyd. Opal is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas N. Crowell. Opal is survived by her son Jimmy Crowell; granddaughter, Jamie Crowell; and sister, Linda Small.
