Obituary for Novella Bryan (King) Novella King Bryan, 95, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2018. Novella was born February 16, 1923, to R.H. “Harry” King and Vida O’neal King in Roswell, NM. A sister, Jimmie, was born in 1928 and the family moved to Hobbs, NM in 1938. After graduating from Hobbs High School in 1941 she married Louis C Bryan. They had two sons Jerrie Alan and Robert Jim Bryan. Novella lived in Hobbs 65 years then moved to San Angelo in 2002. Survivors are son Jerrie and wife Polly Bryan of San Angelo, granddaughter Michelle Farr, husband Curtis and three great grandchildren of Blum, TX. Daughter-in-law Celia Dugan Bryan of Vallejo, CA, nephew Alan D Call of Hobbs, NM and niece Carrol Teel of San Antonio, NM. Novella became a member of the Church of Christ in 1942. She wishes to say, “I am so grateful to God, family and friends for the good life I have enjoyed. I forgive any who may have hurt me and pray those I’ve hurt forgive me. Learning forgiveness is one of life’s greatest assets, but the greatest lesson is to learn to forgive yourself. I hope when I am gone thoughts of me will bring joy, a warm fuzzy feeling, a smile or laughter to those who remember. Throughout my life I learned laughter is one of God’s greatest blessings, so please laugh and enjoy life more.” At Novella’s request, no services will be held.
