Obituary for Norma Louise Young Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in the Central Church of Christ of Haskell officiated by Roy Ramsey and Sonny Sullins. Interment will follow in the Sonora Cemetery near Henryetta, OK. Norma Louise Young was born on May 4, 1942 in Okmulgee, OK to Jesse Edward Sullins and Norma Lee (Powers) Sullins. She passed from this life on June 29, 2018 at her home in Haskell, OK at the age of 76 years, 1 month & 25 days. Louise had been a beloved member of the Haskell community for many years. While her family warmly remembers her as a loving and devoted homemaker, she had also worked as a certified medical assistant for many years at area nursing homes. She worshipped while attending the Central Church of Christ. She was a very good basketball player when she was younger and always enjoyed watching others play the sport. Some of her other favorite activities included fishing, watching cooking shows, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson; Brandon Brunson and 8 siblings. Louise is survived by her loving husband of almost 62 years, Arley Lee Young, whom she married on Aug. 25, 1956 in Morris, OK as well as by 3 daughters; Jackie Ward of Haskell, Shela VanNess of Owasso & Robin Mattingly of Haskell, 1 son; Billy Joe Young of Morris, 2 sisters; Hazel Janell of Tulsa & Rowena Joy Pomeroy of Muskogee, 3 brothers; Edward Sullins of Morris, Sonny Sullins of Sherman, TX & Ray Sullins of Hoffman, OK, 7 grandchildren; Lacie Marvel, Jason Young, Amber Young, Jenny Devecsery, Buck VanNess, Thomas VanNess & David John Mattingly, Jr., 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and longtime friends. Casket bearers are Billy Joe Young, John Mattingly, Jason Young, Phillip Ward, Gary VanNess & David Mattingly.
