Obituary for Norma Faye Barker Rollins Norma Faye Barker Rollins, 78, died peacefully at her home on July 1, 2018. She graduated from Bristol Tennessee High School in 1958 and from Milligan College in 1962. She had spent the majority of her life as a choir director, most recently at Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church. She also directed the Central Christian Church Choir, was a music teacher at Virginia High School and High Point Elementary. She was a beautiful piano player and showed her love of the Lord through her music. She spent many years working in the office of Barker’s Supermarket. Her greatest love in life was being a Meme to her grandchildren and great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Rollins; her parents, Kelley and Mary Barker and brother, Sonny Barker. She is survived by a brother, Eddie Barker and his wife Kitty; two children, Brett Rollins and his wife Donna and Kelly Emery and her husband Chet; five grandchildren, Jordan Roten and her husband Matt; Connor Crandell; Brennan Crandell; Hannah Rollins and Garrett Crandell; one great grandchild, Lana Roten; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and one special niece, Heather McGowan and husband Jimmy. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Friday, July 6, 2018 at Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Laura Plaster and Rev. Amy Probst officiating. A private graveside will be held in Mountain View Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M., Friday prior to the service at the church.
