Nina Jane Elmer Zabriskie 2018

Nina Jane Elmer Zabriskie 1933-2018 “Our beloved teacher” Nina passed peacefully in her son’s home, surrounded by Family on 7/1/2018. Nina was born in Spanish Fork, Utah. She and her sister Thurma Sellers were adopted together by Adron William and Mary Emma Elmer. Nina was married and sealed to her beloved husband Robert Jay Zabriskie in the Logan Temple in 1953. She was widowed June of 1998. Nina worked at ZCMI while her husband worked at the Kennecott mine. She was a substitute teacher in local and regional schools, a den mother in Scouts, and an active valued member of the LDS community. All of this led her to being of help to others as best she was able. She is survived by her two sons, Robert A. Zabriskie, J. Will Zabriskie and many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Nina is preceded in death by her daughter Kerry Zabriskie. Her sister, Thurma Sellers, passed away approximately 12 hours after Nina’s passing. Nina never spoke badly of anyone, no matter what and always saw the good in others. Our Heavenly Father has truly received a saint. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched and most of all by her family; Those that she cherished most of all. Graveside services 11 am Saturday July 7, 2018 at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, 420 E 400 N, Spanish Fork. There will be a viewing 6-8 pm Friday July 6, 2018 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W 2700 S, Magna.
